The mom behind Real Skills Press.
I started Real Skills Press for a very personal reason: my 7-year-old. I wanted him to understand how math actually works in real life — not just on a worksheet, but in the world he’s growing up in.
A little about me: I have a bachelor’s in economics and psychology and an MBA, and I’ve spent 15 years in decision support and finance — turning numbers into the decisions businesses run on.
Somewhere between boardroom forecasts and counting coins with my son, it clicked: the skills I use every day — budgeting, pricing, understanding profit, weighing trade-offs — are skills kids can start building right now, through play.
So I built the packs I wished existed: printable adventures where kids run their own lemonade stands and snack shops — pricing menus, making change, tracking sales, graphing profit. Real math, real economics, real personal finance… disguised as the best part of their day.
My mission is simple: empower kids with the economic and financial skills that turn them into confident future entrepreneurs — one lemonade stand at a time.

Most math worksheets teach kids to get the right answer. Our packs teach them to use the answer — to price a menu so the stand makes money, to count change so the customer comes back, to read a sales graph and decide what to stock next week.
That’s the difference between doing math and thinking with math. And it’s a difference kids feel immediately — because when the numbers are theirs, the learning sticks.
